About the Role
Spur is seeking a Marketing Programs & Events Manager to expand the execution capacity of the growth marketing team and turn demand-generation plans into launched, measurable programs.
This is a hands-on, cross-functional role spanning trade shows, field and partner events, webinars, marketing automation, Salesforce campaign administration, outbound and third-party programs, lead processing, reporting, and vendor coordination. The role will help Spur run more pipeline-generating programs, move campaigns into market faster, and improve follow-through from initial response through sales handoff.
The ideal candidate is an organized operator who is comfortable changing focus as priorities shift. On one day, the priority may be sponsorship deliverables and booth shipping; on the next, it may be a Marketo build, Salesforce campaign setup, webinar launch, partner event, lead upload, attribution review, or Clay list project.
The Marketing Programs & Events Manager will report to the VP of Growth Marketing and work closely with Digital and Content Marketing, Product Marketing, Sales, BDR, RevOps, partners, event organizers, and external vendors. The ideal candidate will be proactive, self-directed, detail-oriented, responsive, and comfortable operating in a fast-moving remote environment.
Responsibilities
- Maintain an integrated operating calendar and project plan for trade shows, field events, webinars, partner programs, third-party programs, outbound initiatives, and related campaigns.
- Own day-to-day logistics for conferences and trade shows, including sponsorship deliverables, booth requirements, registrations, badges, shipments, swag, signage, vendor coordination, travel schedules, deadlines, and budget tracking.
- Coordinate field and partner events from kickoff through post-event follow-up, keeping internal teams and external partners aligned on owners, assets, timing, and next steps.
- Manage webinar operations, including project plans, speaker coordination, platform setup, registration workflows, rehearsals, reminder emails, attendee communications, lead capture, reporting, and follow-up.
- Build, test, and launch Marketo programs, emails, landing pages, forms, smart lists, segmentation, tokens, operational workflows, and nurture executions based on campaign strategy provided by marketing leadership.
- Create and administer Salesforce campaigns, campaign member statuses, lead and contact uploads, response tracking, campaign associations, and attribution-supporting data hygiene.
- Perform campaign QA across Marketo, Salesforce, landing pages, forms, lists, links, tracking parameters, routing rules, and follow-up workflows before launch.
- Process event and webinar leads within agreed service levels and coordinate timely handoff, alerts, reporting, and follow-up with BDR and Sales.
- Support Clay-based prospecting, enrichment, list development, data cleanup, and outbound campaign operations.
- Coordinate third-party appointment-setting and demand-generation programs, including vendor communication, targeting inputs, lead delivery, quality review, tracking, and reporting.
- Support partner marketing programs through event coordination, campaign setup, registration management, list handling, communications, and follow-up.
- Maintain campaign and pipeline reporting; prepare recurring summaries of program volume, response, meetings, SQLs, pipeline, and operational performance.
- Track vendor agreements, invoices, purchase requirements, event spend, and program budgets in coordination with marketing leadership and Finance.
- Document campaign naming conventions, status definitions, checklists, templates, operating procedures, and repeatable workflows.
- Surface blockers early, communicate status clearly, and keep multiple concurrent programs moving without daily task-level management.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of B2B demand generation, field marketing, marketing programs, or marketing operations experience. Exceptional candidates with slightly less experience and strong hands-on event, Marketo, and Salesforce experience will be considered.
- Direct experience supporting conferences, trade shows, field events, webinars, or other multi-step marketing programs.
- Hands-on experience building and launching campaigns in Marketo or a comparable marketing automation platform; Marketo experience is strongly preferred.
- Hands-on experience creating and managing campaigns, member statuses, imports, and reporting in Salesforce.
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple concurrent timelines, owners, vendors, and dependencies.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with a consistent record of accurate, on-time execution.
- Strong written communication and campaign QA skills across email, landing pages, forms, lists, and operational instructions.
- Comfort working with spreadsheets, data imports, segmentation, campaign reporting, and basic performance analysis.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with distributed marketing, sales, operations, and partner teams.
- Ability and willingness to travel for selected events as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in B2B technology, cybersecurity, fraud prevention, threat intelligence, identity, or infrastructure-related markets.
- Marketo certification or advanced experience with program templates, tokens, forms, smart campaigns, segmentation, and operational workflows.
- Experience with webinar platforms such as Zoom Webinars, ON24, GoTo Webinar, or similar tools.
- Experience with Clay or another enrichment, prospecting, or data-orchestration platform.
- Experience supporting partner marketing, account-based marketing, appointment-setting, or third-party demand-generation programs.
- Working knowledge of attribution, campaign influence, lead lifecycle stages, and marketing-to-sales handoff processes.
- Basic HTML and email-template editing skills.
- Experience managing event budgets, sponsorship deliverables, shipping, and external vendors.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
What Success Looks Like
- You can manage multiple events, webinars, and campaigns at once while keeping owners, deadlines, dependencies, and risks visible.
- You can build and launch Marketo and Salesforce campaigns accurately with minimal oversight.
- You can move from event logistics to campaign operations to reporting as priorities change.
- You consistently process and route program leads quickly, enabling timely BDR and Sales follow-up.
- You build repeatable checklists, templates, and processes that improve launch speed and reduce avoidable rework.
- You communicate clearly, surface blockers early, and create confidence that important details are covered.
- You work effectively with Digital and Content Marketing to turn campaign assets into launched programs and with Sales and BDR to turn responses into meetings and pipeline.
