Spur is pleased to announce several new enhancements to its Monocle Session Enrichment solution, enabling organizations of all sizes and maturity levels to gain new user session insights and accelerate their perimeter defense efforts against growing anonymization threats.

Cloudflare No-Code Integration Makes Inline Traffic Enforcement Simpler and Faster

The latest Monocle release introduces enhanced Cloudflare integration, enabling users to deploy Monocle inline with their application traffic using a no-code setup approach. This integration requires no engineering work and launches directly from the new Monocle Onboarding Workflow (see below).

With Monocle positioned inline, policy decisions can now actively allow or block requests in real time based on custom Policy Configurations.

What Users Can Configure

A new Cloudflare Admin page enables users to configure and manage the integration. From the Admin page, users can:

• View worker status and manage configuration.
• Define the domains and routes where Monocle assessments are triggered.
• Configure Block Response behavior.

Advanced Block Response Behavior Configuration Options

Users can choose how Block Policy decisions are handled by the worker, including:

• Presenting a custom block page with tailored messaging.
• Redirecting to a user defined URL.

The Spur-Cloudflare integration features a no-code approach that simplifies deployment and policy configuration.

New Policy Option: Allow All Block Strategy

We’ve also introduced a new Allow All Policy Block Strategy. This enables users to deploy Monocle inline with traffic via Cloudflare in a monitor-only type mode, while still gaining the benefits of traffic visibility and observations to drive Policy Configuration at a later stage.

Advanced Monocle Analytics Improve Visibility Into User Sessions and Trends

Spur has introduced new analytics on user session assessments and automated traffic observations to help users better interpret behavior. Monocle now centralizes analytics into an Explorer view that includes tabs that examine daily volume trends in the following areas:

• Traffic Type
• Anonymous Traffic Types
• Policy Decisions
• Time of Day Behavior
• Geo Intelligence
• Services
• User IPs

With these enhancements, organization can now investigate traffic patterns in more detail, validate policy decisions, assess potential block strategy changes, and better understand the value Monocle is delivering through greater visibility into traffic.

New Onboarding Workflow Accelerates Session Enrichment Insights

Spur has introduced a new onboarding workflow designed to help simplify and accelerate Monocle implementations.

The process is straightforward. Starting from the Platform home page, users begin the Monocle setup through a simple, step-by-step onboarding flow that walks them through everything needed to get started based on their selected Platform license – complete with implementation documentation.

This enhancement provides a clear entry point into Monocle from the home page, enabling customers to activate and benefit from Monocle session enrichment faster. The included step-by-step guide reduces onboarding friction for new and less advanced users. The final implementation screen highlights the value Monocle provides out of the box, along with the optional advanced capabilities users can enable when ready.
